Human Life: A Giant Algorithm

…and the Universe, a grand machine

This is the part where I tell you what I overthink about and the aftertaste of Netflix and all sorts of movies that leaves a mark on my mind.

First lets understand two things: Free will and Determinism

Free will is the ability to choose different paths or to act independently in life without any restraints or rules.

Determinism is a philosophical belief whereby it states that all events and actions in a human life is completely determined by previously existing causes.

I’m not a scientist, a sci-if buff, a religious individual or a philosopher. What I present to you now is completely my own thoughts regarding human life and the universe. Some of these things you already know but I find it interesting and I thought I’ll just talk about it.

I’ve been paranoid. I had this idea of someone being in control over my life and that I do not have the will to act against my destiny.

Life is an algorithm, which is a set of steps that needs to be done in order to do something specific. It’s defined and as for humans, I don’t think we can disrupt the flow.

This is what I think:

We have a manufacturing date and an expiry date

Within this time, we are meant to follow a certain path or a defined set of actions

This is the destiny that is laid out for us and its not in our control

Once we serve our purpose or achieve the inevitable goal that is set for us, we have served our purpose for the universe

And then comes death, our expiry and our time to get erased from the system.

…Or just maybe once we are erased, we go back to the starting point, an endless loop but this is a story for another day (A plethora of thoughts stuck in my mind)

Every one of us has a story, in this case, a story that is already written for us.

That’s the universe playing The Sims with us.

I’m just assuming some higher being (The one above all) is sitting there with it’s coffee, just taking notes on us and writing our journey, having the time of it’s life.

Have you ever wondered why people turn out the way they do ?

Let’s assume John Doe was an innocent man one day and the universe just decides to write his character as a serial killer. Or imagine if our life was written to serve a benefit towards someone else’s life and that someone else was meant to be the “chosen one” or an individual who would evolve the universe.

Maybe some random human being was meant to lose his job so someone else could come in and take that opportunity and that someone else could very well would have been the next CEO of Apple.

Sometimes, as humans, we wonder why people, who are absolutely horrible, gets a better shot at life and it’s benefit while we have to suffer. That’s very well out of your jurisdiction and maybe that’s the way the story is.

Everything is going according to a plan, an algorithm with no disruptions.

We are characters of a vast novel, written by the owners of the universe.

Maybe the characters that we bring life to in writing, video games or comic books really are a set of individuals just like us and they might not have the faintest clue that they are a part of an art form or a piece of literature.

Maybe my life is already laid out and the chances of me, either being someone who’s supposed to impact the universe or to impact someone else who will bring change to the universe, is unknown.

Here’s me hoping everything would get revealed soon or maybe I’m too blind to notice my inevitable end.

This has always been on my mind and if I interested you with anything, I’m happy and I’m glad you took away something from this story.

It’s something fun to think about and question.

Once again, purely my thoughts on the matter and I would love to hear what you have in mind about everything that is life.

Thank you, Reader!
